PostHeaderIcon Babies, Babies, Babies!

The kids started being born this week and we are currently up to 12 little cuties. (Photos to come.)

We are grateful for the mild weather; in the past, Uno was born on a night that got down to 1 degree F. She was found the next morning standing under the warming light with ice bits on her tummy, hunched up and looking miserable. However, being blown with a nice warm hair dryer was utter bliss! Uno had her first baby yesterday and all is well.

If you are interested in reserving a kid let us know, we even have a couple of mama/baby combos for sale. The combos are great for all involved; the kids get to stay with their moms and the new owners can experience having the little ones around right from the start (as opposed to after weaning). Goats are very family oriented and remain close to each throughout their lives. It's cute when mom, yearling kid, and baby sleep together with the little one in the middle -- like a goat sandwich!

We are also offering a buy one, get one half price sale for our one- and two-year-old wethers (neutered males). They are very sweet, currently covered with plentiful fiber, and eat more weeds than the does because of their larger size. They are good natured, understand terms like "come" and "go home," and love people.

These wethers are available in white and badger, both of which produce cream-colored fiber. The sale price for 2 wethers is $450. (The normal price is $300 each.

As breeding stock, does and unneutered bucklings are $500 each.
